Finally It is here! after releasing there demo more than a year ago, the long awaited full length game Rewrite by Key has finally hit the stores. Althought pushed back for a couple of months, fans can now stick in front of there computer and enjoy the world of rewrite, on of those fans is me.
Just to refresh peoples mind, Rewrite is Key’s ninth game, along with other titles such as Kanon, Air, and Clannad. The gameplay in Rewrite follows a plot line which offers pre-determined scenarios with courses of interaction, and focuses on the appeal of the five female main characters. There have been three manga adaptations based on Rewrite.
Let’s have a look at what the package should look like shall we, Rewrite – First Press Limited Edition by Key Visual Arts.
You get the beautiful art drawn by both Itaru Hinoue and Na-Ga with a yellow banner saying about the game is also featuring the likes of Ryukishi07 in the production input. 
Rewrite is set in the fictional city Kazamatsuri where treeplanting and afforestation have caused the city to become overgrown with trees and flowers in much the same way that other cities are filled by buildings. However, while most of the city appears to be rural, there are many traditional city elements as well. While set in a modern setting, the city also gives off a strange sense of nostalgia. The basis of the story is set in a high school setting. The first half of Rewrite primarily consists of the characters interacting in many everyday, enjoyable scenes. The latter half, however, is more serious, emotional, and carries a sense of mystery to the plot. 
The opening of the box, the box weighed quite a bit, not compaining because you get quite a few goodies. 
One of the item is a replacement cover for the box, its great to have a choice. 
Schwarz or whatever it is called, that card game as far as i know, you get card featuring kanbe kotori, it seems like a special to me.

You also get a nice green phone strap with the rewrite sign at the end of it, very elegant ill try and see if i can use it on my blackberry.. or not its too precious. Theres also another card but for Lycee featuring nakatsu shizuru. 
Im going to try it out sometime this week, It’ll be a while for the translation thought. This is Key’s longest VN yet I think, i wonder how long did the shorter ones take to translate? I personally hook AGTH so I can copypaste into a dictionary for unknown words. It requires a bit of knowledge on how sentences are structured/how certain words work/etc, but it helps if you can sort of understand Japanese and have trouble with vocab. Its a bit slow if you have no clue what every single word means, spending around 10+ mins trying to figure out what a sentence means can ultimately cause major headaches and frustration but it’ll speed up eventually as you start to remember more commonly used words or if you guys really want a translation fast, any of you able to read chinese?, I supposed that the chinese translation will be finish in half a year time lol. 
Soil, lovely name. This Key Radio CD of the game, I am so glad this is featured with the game, who wouldnt? i mean its Key’s Music after all, another thing that they are known for, and more of Jun Maeda, Orito Shinji an co! one of the best combos out there. 
The reason for the box being quite heavy is probably due to this guidebook of the Game, it features nearly everything, from character introduction to script to drawings. There is also a section with the teams comment on the game and to end with a small manga section. 
For those who ordered the Limited Edition will get this phone strap Original Cell Phone Strap Bonus Item featuring the trio of kanbe kotori, nakatsu shizuru and konohana lucia. From now on let me enjoy this moment for i while be pulled in the world of Rewrite, Is it possible to rewrite? That fate of hers.

You can wait for the translation, im sure theres going to be one, but last resort play with AGTH or ATLAS, even thought a hassle, its worth a go =)

Thats great you can at least catch a few meaning of phrases by listening, plus it also improves your listening skill, but ye i can understand the frustration of not understanding the whole thing, i wish i could to :/

I've got the game installed, but only for extracting the graphics and sound files. Wish I knew Japanese so I could enjoy it. Also, those little straps are cute! :3

I think it is well worth it with all the stuff that got packed into it. Not really a gamer myself, but the extras alone would draw my attention as the artwork is just stunning.
Looks like a very awesome bundle there, like an ultimate fan package. I wonder if this will get an anime adaption one day. I'm curious about the seemingly gothic lolita girl with her back turned by the tree. This looks like something that would hook me really fast if I had better Japanese skills, I'm a sucker for Key works and the setting sounds really unique and to my liking.

Awesome boxing, all of my jelly. This game looks sick and is the only Key related game I've really looked forward to. I'm not ready for an HD visual novel! (????)
I'm amazed at how many goodies come with the VN. I've never bought a physical copy of a VN before because I don't know Japanese, and when it gets translated to English, a digital copy is much faster to obtain.
Right now I'm looking forward to an anime based on Rewrite, hopefully there'll be one.

haha for me, character appearance plays a huge part and the other is story of course. I'm more of the older mature character / tsundere fan^^" rather than the young high school looking ones

Ah how nice, this special edition box looks fantastic, all those goodies and a guidebook on top of that ^_^. Seems like they've put a lot of effort into this game and the special edition.
extracting and translating can be really tiresome, but when you are hooked up by the game it doesn't really matter

Wow, I'm surprised at how much goodies came in the box. I'm curious about this VN, I wonder how Key's VN's are nowadays since I only really watched the Air/Kanon/Clannad shows and the source material for those was released a while ago.
So ashamed of myself for not getting this yet. Still clearing a backlog of visual novels at the moment

My japanese is not at the level of understanding jp writing, hence i use what is normally used for visual novels for those who dont understand = AGTH.
my mind you for VN that has voice and its easier to understanding, i can pick up a few words here and there and well try and figure out what it is meant ^^

Oh, Im very interested in all the images you used to make layouts for MAL's clubs, which cant be found in some websites I know so far (ex: Minitokyo is a big one). U must have downloaded them from Japanese websites or else .. :/, mind telling me? >.> xxxxxxxD
