In our days you can now find a whole lot of goodies related to Anime, from plushie, games, music, figures, dakimakura the list goes on. There are many side aspect instead of the anime that may be attracted to, and the one i fancy a lot is the music behind the series.
In my opinion the music is one of the driven force behind to sales of the anime, the reason because that it is simply less expensive than the price of a blu-ray or even DVD. Look at K-ON! for example, there Openeing and ending song for the series was a big big success, most people loved it, i loved it hence i bought the single. According to Oricon, the album single of “GO! GO! MANIAC,” the opening theme from the show’s second season (titled “K-On!!”), sold more than 83,000 copies to claim the top spot in the charts. Thats an incredible achievement!
I do admit i am picky when it comes to music and that i dont collect as much as figures, but i think this will change. Im growing more and more attracted to the music, and i feel that it might be best way to contribute to the series, since its the cheapest option. I recently added the Singles of the recently ended series, Nichijou. the up beat tempo of Hyadain and the lovely tune of Sasaki Sayaka. True be told that downloading is another option and thats what most people do but that doesnt stop me spending a bit of my money on CDs.

Heres a few OP & ED:
K-ON! OP Cagayake Girls!
Nichijou OP Hyadain no Kakakata?Kataomoi-C
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko OP Ruru
Stein Gate OP Hacking the Gate
There are so many that it is hard to choose from, Anyway heres the question:
So Do you collect Anime Singles?

Nice selection of songs! I'm not yet at the point where I buy anime singles or albums. I use my money to buy mostly underground music from America and the shipping is always killing me, heh.
Thanks! was so hard to choose from >.< Oh so your into this kind of music huh! interesting.
I am into a lot, heh. Speaking of music, it's been a while since you've been on last.fm. And how are those new headphones working out for you? Comfy?
Last fm. Ye its been a few months, i should go back to it, i havent had the chance to reinstall it on my computer since it broke down.
The AKG headphones are great! loving every sound, very clear and comfy (well i should hope so with the price i paid ^^)
I collect anime singles...on my hdd ^^
Well in case an anime had music that I really really liked, I buy real CD's of singles and OST's.
I bought the Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko Single and a Super Soniko Single for example, in both there was a nice little extra inside. I also own the Samurai Champloo Ost and the two Eureka Seven OST's.
I would probably buy more anime singles, but with shipping it's always a bit pricey.
Shame shipping cost cant be reduced, true be told that even SAL is getting more expensive.
I'd honestly buy music and what not but shipping is always a killer which puts me off. Maybe the next time I visit Japan, I'm going to buy a lot of albums, to show my support.
I'm surprised that you got quite a few k-on singles there. I only got the supercell and kobato ed single
I tend to get the OST's if I really like it. I usually however do download singles that I like of anime from a site I like to go to. If I had the chance, then I would probably pick up the singles, but here in the US, not so much.
Anime singles are nice, thanks to being used as openings I have been exposed to many different artists. If it wasn't for these types of singles I would have been none the wiser and really be missing out.
I never thought of buying Anime singles before. I would have thought that they would be ridiculously expensive but thy're not so bad it seems. I kinda miss actual CDs most soundtracks I get nowadays are digital only.
I like to buy anime CDs but when it costs more to have it shipped here from Japan than the price of the CD, it really isn't economical. That's why my collection only has a dozen or so CDs of songs that I really like.
