I have always wondered where all my fellow comrades in the blogsphere come from. Im lucky enough to have met folks from all four corners of this earth, but as the blogsphere grows and grows each and everyday,I meet new folks, that is why whoever visit/comment on this post, where are you located?
I remember when i went to my first convention back in my home country Singapore for AFAX 2010. The place was jam packed, it felt like the whole population was in the suntec convention hall during those 2 days. Not only were there folks that came from malaysia, indonesia or hong kong to attend the event but there were some that came all the way from america or even europe! funny how dedicated these people are in their hobbies and damn right they should be XD!
In my blog, altough it cant be compared to the likes of Dannychoo, RadiantDreamer or Kodomut where they get a big amount of readers. Im suprised at how many folks from different continents managed to have a look at my blog. It makes it look like the blogshpere or even the world is a small place.

Fabrice, Eurasian, Student, Traveler, Blogger. I decided to open a blog. I feel I want to write something. This blog is my final haven when everything seems nuisances; urging me to assess and to share my thoughts and my own findings to the world, or at least to my fellow neighbours in the blog sphere.

I'm from Asia, Malaysia to be exact XD Oh so you're currently at Perth? I guess we could meet each other or something once I go there for my 3rd year XD
If you do come, then yes certainly we will meet up ^^
Although I'm fairly new to the blog universe, I'm located in El Paso, Texas, USA. Much like a certain other blogsphear denizen. I changed cities a lot while younger, so I have friends in a lot of places as well
.
Youve settled in well in the blogsphere. and heres to my first friend from Texas!
WOW, I am only running 4th right now for North America / US / Maryland
I use ClustrMaps to see all the cool places people are from that drop by my blog. It tracks country and then by state or city. Most of mine of from the US.
Thanks for the tip, ill check out ClusterMaps, sounds interesting.
I'm jealous, you gotten to meet comrades already. While I have little interest in simply meeting comrades with the same interests I wanna meet my blogging comrades without a doubt. I wanna meet up with people like you Fabrice someday.
I'm also surprised, while I get the most views form my home country that is the US most of the people that comment come from everything but the US for the most part. I never seriously thought I would meet people from Canada, Europe, southeast Asia, Japan or Australia. Small world indeed.
To be honest i have similar opinion, meeting fellow comrades that you know in the blogsphere is quite special.
Im lucky to have met the likes of Kodomut, Atyrial, Radiant Dreamer, Alafista, Zh3us and many more.
We will meet up, im sure of it! =)
I'm still stuck in Brunei haha, the course I want to take are not available (yet). So I'm still thinking whether to go Kuala Lumpur to study or not, I haven't discuss this with my dad yet. I'm well aware that the cost is high to study overseas so yeah..
I would love to go back to brunei, well only to visit now. I enjoyed my 2 years there when i was young ^^
Good luck with your studies!
Haha I'm from good old australia, just like you XD and yes you are lucky to have lived in 7 countries!
Were you born and raised in brisbane?
Yup, I was. Although I moved to Sydney for 5 years, I came back to bris afterwards.
Fun post
I hail from Alaska, USA, and have lived here 20 years. I do plan on leaving soon, so maybe I'll see you wherever I end up, or at some convention!
And I do have family in Queensland, who I have yet to visit.
Thanks! I remember having that sort of conversation back in MAL =)
Alaska seriously is a interesting place, silly me is always thinking alaska is only covered with ice and penguins/polar bears lol (sorry ^^)
We will meet you someday, if so maybe in Australia as that sounds realistic as its close to where i live =)
Asia - Philippines, but I guess you already know where I come from, more or less.
It's awesome how I have plenty of otaku friends online, than offline. ^^;
Yet to attend a local otaku convention but srsly, I don't have time for it no matter how I plan.
In my hometown, there were a few cosplay events going on but wasn't able to go, let alone cons in other cities.. I guess I might able to go if it is a figure con. I don't like cosplay that much anyway. ^^;
Quite a number of readers from Philippines!
same here, i know more people online than offline.
Why? conventions are awesome, taking 2-3 days wont kill you haha, me too i prefer figure con more than cosplay.
AFAX is a great example of both and everything in general.
Ah, I'm a new commentor here, but I hope it's alright to post a reply. >w<
I come from and am currently living in Hong Kong, China. I've been here since I was born, but I'm finally going to be moving to Australia next year for university.
Thinking of Brisbane or Melbourne, because I'm applying for the University of Queensland, as well as Griffith University and whatnot. Busy times, argh.
Sorry, getting off track.
Anyway, I agree, it is surprising on the variety of people that visit one blog. It's truly fascinating to see, and it's a wonderful experience to be able to make new friends that way. <3
Hi there! thank you so much for dropping by my fellow comrade from Hong Kong!
Never considered coming to Perth? if so then we would definetely meet up!
I'd like to, but all the universities I want to go to are in Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Melbourne. ;A;
But tell me what Perth is like, I'm interested in hearing about it. *w*
Well there are many more options in estern state. Perth is so limited but i must admit that the one im in is one of the most important in Australia =)
Its a quiet city, not much happening compared to HK. most international students choose the eastern states.
I guess a lot of international students choose the eastern states simply because there's a lot of universities located there. Almost all of the universities I've looked at so far are centered in the eastern region. ^^;
I definitely want to visit Perth one day though. I've never been to Australia, so really, I want to explore the place a bit... without running into dingoes and kangaroos. (Have you seen either of them before?
)
I'm now in USA and was in China two years ago. Happy to meet you here.
Nice to meet you, im actually going to China in September (alrought it is still not confirmed).
So your only studying in USA, planning on staying or going back to China?
you know that what more important is that you actually took your time to write here, so the quantity of the comment doesnt really matter =)
Thank you so much for your interest in my blog! i really appreciate it
I looked at the comments above me. I felt I left too few words:>
I am an international student in USA. I am a new commenter here and like your blog style very much. I have subscribed your blog and will continue to read your posts in the future~~
Amazing how the internet makes the world seem so much smaller ^^.
I was surprised to see how many places you have lived! I would love to live in different parts of the world some day...
I myself am in the USA, trapped somewhere in New York City.
It does seem small hey =)
I must thank my dad for that opportunity, living and learning all the countries cultures etc was so amazing!
New York city that is so Awesome! the city of happenings and well you know about what they say about NYC :3
I'm from Canada. Unforunately, I've only lived here for my whole life so I don't know what it's like to live in another country.
Canada is one of the countries i want to visit, especially Toronto
If you ever come to Vancouver, I will surely show you around.
Same for you too, Nopy! ^_^
How can i forget about Vancouver! defenitely ill come and visit!
I'm from Malaysia.. btw
I was at AFAX too!!! Shame that I couldn't met you nor Danny..
Are you going to Afa this year too?
If so then we have to make sure to meet up.
Lots of comrades from Malaysia
I hail from the land of haggis (yuck), bagpipes (argh my ears) and kilts (itchy skirts). I've never lived outside Scotland either, and can't really say I'm in a rush to leave or anything. I'd like to maybe one day live over in America but for now I'm content with where I am. In terms of travel I've never been over to the Eastern side of the globe. Maybe one day though.
Having a willingness and experience with traveling will undoubtedly be useful now and in the future for you. Opens up a lot of job opportunities that would otherwise be unreachable.
I'm from boring old Indiana ^^;
Philippines, Asia. I didn't know you were from Singapore, I've always remembered that you were from Australia XD.
We should do a meet up on AFA2011 if you're going =D
Wow another comrade from Philippines!
i only moved to australia one year ago ^^
Yes if i do then of course we have to meet up!
I'm in North America right now, but I'll soon be in Asia. Never knew you were from Australia. Awesome! ^ ^
Where in Asia, im guessing Taiwan?
Wow, it's amazing that you've lived in so many countries. Doesn't it get sad when you have to move to another one?
That said, the world on the internet really isn't such a small place - isn't a country just a place where you live? Perhaps in the real world, countries matter, but on the Internet, they certainly don't. (Unless you start talking about each country's culture and influence on people on the Internet, which is another argument altogether.)
I got use to it after time.. i mean sometimes i didnt really get settled then i had to move again, but its okay, looking at the bigger picture, it was a great experience discovering all these countries.
Originating from Sweden - Halmstad ( A small town
), been living all over Sweden basically but since 2002 I live in Finland just north of the capital. I wish I was a blogosphere netizen, but to many projects keeps my own blog going forward... well... very slowly from time to time to be honest
With my parents originating from Serbia I do feel I know how it is to be hailing from a lot of different areas in the world, but what i do miss is to have Offline Otaku friends, there is only one and he still lives in Sweden. All other Otaku friends are online and I have yet to meet any of them.
When my latest project gets online my otaku writing will shoot to the sky though ( unfortunately that will be in Swedish). maybe I will be writing a bit more on my blog about that project though, since it might turn out nicely with the help of two Pros on my side this time.... I hope... JIKES
PS!, I truly love reading your blog
Hey there fellow newcomer from Sweden!
i think your the first person i know that has visited my blog, or even the first person in general!
Oh and Finland too! haha thats great, I wouldnt mind visiting one day but im not really a cold person ^^
I guess its all about trying to balance time in which me too i found myself in a difficult position to do so.
what... So Serbia as well! haha 3 countries, thats amazing, Serbia looks amazing, i have a few friends from serbia in which i have met during my time in Greece for a year =)
Most of my otaku friends are online, mind you have a met some of them in real life, so its a great experience!
Why not in English? your english is good...plus i dont understand Swedish so it will be hard for me to understand lol
But in any case i wish you all the best!
and thank you very much for the visit, really appreciate it!
Just another resident of the US. And the town I live in isn't worth a mention XD I got Irish and German bloodlines though.
