Holo and I in front of Pura Ulun Danu Bratan on Lake Bratan in BaliA few month’s after the start of our Project Holo in China, we would like to welcome you to Bali, Indonesia where she is seen visiting one of the most monumental landmarks of the island called Pura Ulun Danu Bratan on Lake Bratan.

What is Pura Ulun Danu Bratan?

Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, or Pura Bratan, is a major Shivaite & water temple on Bali, Indonesia. Built in 1663, this temple is used for offerings ceremony to the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, due to the importance of Lake Bratan as a main source of irrigation in central Bali. The 11 stories of pelinggih meru dedicated for Shiva and his consort Parvathi. Buddha statue also present inside this temple.- wikipedia

While we were in Bali, Pura Ulun Danu was chosen to be part this project because it is one of the most famous Temples in which many people forget! For many tourist, Bali is a destination for the beach (in which we understand). Pura Ulun Danu is actually featured on the 50,000 IDR note. It is also a clean, photogenic temple – on a small island in a beautiful mountain lake.
