This years Anime Festival Asia 2011 comes to an end unfortunately, and as always time flies. That must be because i had the time of my life. This AFA is hands down the better of the past AFA’s. Each year the event grows and grows with more and more people flooding the convention center. It was surely a very difficult task walking around freely.
For this year i decided to do a cosplay but unfortunately it wasnt that good, mostly everyone didnt even recognise my cosplay of Ichinomya Kou from Arakawa Under the Bridge. I do admit that the cosplay is a plain one because the only thing that can be distinguished is the red tie. Another reason of failure was also because it seems most havent even seen the Anime series! quite shocking to be honest ^^.
There was so many merchandises but most went out of sale after only the first day, not even actually, after the very first hour of the opening of the convention! I didnt buy much because i was on a tight budget as well as that i have my Japan trip to do which also means i can also get most of the products there. I bought a beautiful art illustration drawn by an artist selling its work at the event. I also purchased the recent released Kanako Itou album “Thank You!”, quite pricey but worth it because if purchased you manage to get a autograph by Kanako Itou herself!
The Anisong concert was mind blowing, I have yet to recover from the event, shoulder aching, low energy you name it! hopefully ill recover as fast as possible! but I still have the Culture Japan Night to attend to.. will be hard to recharge my batteries. During the Anisong, they held a draw to win a signed poster of whatever the chosen artist you want. Luckily for me i won both artist that i wanted which were LiSA and Kanako Itou! Very memorable indeed! Anyway im still not in the right state of mind, the event really took my spirit away I have absolutely no energy to do anything but unfortunately i have loads to do D:
I can say it again AFA11 WAS AMAZING!
Congratulations to everyone and all the staff members for making AFA’11 one of the best ever! Hopefully AFA12 will be in Singapore in which im sure will be yet another huge event to look forward too! Thank you also to all my comrades who also made this event a special one!

Oh you've cosplayed and nobody noticed haha how mean ^^
Well, I also thought that you've just sported the business suit for fun.
Maybe you should try sommething a more fancy costume next time.
But it seems that you've had a lot of fun there nevertheless and aquired some nice stuff ^_^
Indeed, i guess Arakawa Under the Bridge is not that famous here ^^
the thing is that is the only thing that suits me >.<
that's strange, since there were 2 seasons of this anime.
Oh don't say that, the samurai costume from your other post was really cool I would say
I think if you had a wig or maybe grew your hair a bit longer, more people would've recognized your cosplay. Anyways, from reading all of your posts, it looks like you had a blast. I really wish I could've gone.
