There are a number of comic stores selling Japanese anime and manga comics, toys and souvenirs in Akihabara. One of my personal favorite is COMIC ZIN on Chuo-Dori. They have been very fateful in their slogan of providing customers with the best of the comic and manga life. With Kaoru Mori’s character as their mascot, the store also provides a vast array of original works too! 4 levels in total, it starts with a wide selection of anime magazines to choose from along with novels and manga’s but as you make your way up to the top, youll find yourself in the adult doujin world!

What makes COMIC ZIN special compared to the rest is they are the only store in Akihabara to go that extra mile with its releases of novels by including exclusive post cards with drawings and a thank you note from the author. Very generous from their part and I remember comrade Ken_Works bought another copy of a novel he enjoyed because of the post card. I would do the same. Recently released comics at the entrance. With a wide selection of anime magazines. First floor filled with novels, manga’s and original works. Special Kyoto Animation novel section, here’s promoting the recently released Chunnibyou. There are currently 2 COMIC ZIN stores in Tokyo, one in Shinjuku and the main one in Akihabara along the Chuo Dori opposite the big Softmap store near the traffic lights.
